Interactive Visual World
Greenfoot is an Interactive Visual World application that can help beginners in working on object-oriented Java programming, such as creating 'actors' living in 'worlds' to build a game or graphical simulation. The 'actors' programmed in standard textual Java code provide a combination of programming experience in traditional text-based languages with visual execution.

Simple Programming IDE
The full IDE interface includes project management, auto-completion, syntax highlighting, and other tools commonly used for IDEs. In addition, you can also publish your work both online and offline. You need to know that the Greenfoot interface is deliberately made simple, because this program is dedicated to a student or beginner who still thinks simply, so that it can help in the learning process. Greenfoot has been used by more than thousands of institutions worldwide, because Greenfoot provides ease when transitioning to other interfaces, such as BlueJ and more professional IDEs.

Real Java Code
Greenfoot programs are written in standard Java, one of the leading programming languages in academia and industry. Learning concepts transfer directly to programming subsequent environments. Greenfoot makes it easy for beginners to create environments, while Java makes it more powerful to write impressive, flexible and sophisticated application code.
